UNKOWNS
For a lack of a better term, the Unknowns are the folks in the photos and I nor family have any idea who they are.  I found a box full of photos at Mimi's house, so I scanned everyone, made any notes regarding the photo and put them into a photo album for safe keeping.  Most of the photos were identified but others no one had any idea who they were, but mention who they looked like.  Some of them have names on the back of their photograph, which is not one of the surnames we are researching.  Others do not, have any notes on the back but resemble somebody.  Please read the captions below each photo it has an approximate date and which family they resemble.  If you recognize anyone, let me know.  It will mend more branches as well as find some leaves.
This gentleman looks like the Christian side of the family. Billy and Herbert Christian favors this man. This photo was taken around the early or mid 1950s.AGNES THOMPSON, this was a newspaper clipping I found in Mimi's bible. She was well respected in the Homewood area of Pittsburgh. I know that Harry Thompson, Sr. lived in Homewood, not sure if there is an connection. This baby look like so many folks you take a guess at it! He looks like Uncle Sonny, but I think this photo is earlier than he was born. He also favors my grandfather Fritzie, but others say not!The man in this photo looks familiar but the woman looks like she could be related on the Riggs (Mimi's grandmother was a Riggs). Their clothes puts this photo early 1900s.LOL, I tried to fix as much as this photo as I could. This photo is very old. Their clothes put the age of this picture late 1800s.This photo was a post card that was sent to Mr. & Mrs. Shern (Mimi's adopted parents). All I know is that his mother was close to them, he mentions to let her know he miss her and will see her soon. This lady looks really angelic, like she is getting ready to sing "Speak Lord". No idea who she is. This baby looks like a lot of folks. I wonder who they're looking at, and why are they taking their photo outside next to a bush that needs to be cut down. LOLWho check out the groom's hair and why is the bride's dress shiny? Anyway this was taken during the 1950s.This is the Shiny Dress bride again. She looks scary, really that veil is awful. LOL!The lady in the middle is Mary Ellen Lockart Shern, Mimi's adopted mother. She is very young here so this photo was taken early 1900s. The others in the photo we do not know but are family. The Sherns were very good friends with the Riggs. That is how they were able to get Mimi.A very attractive man, don't know him either. He favors the Christian side of the family.Written on the back of the photo is "cousin in for a visit" Now this photo is really old, like late 1890s. She favors a few folks. Cousin Helen and Hilda McKissack look like her. Of course they are much prettier. This was a post card but the most of the back was rubbed off and not legiable. I was post marked out of NYC.An interesting couple! Shern and Bakari have those tweezed look eyebrows.A woman with five girls trailing behind her.LMBO!!! These two gentlemen look like Amos & Andy. The man on the left looks like I have seen him before, maybe I was a child and he was much older. Anyway, this photo was a post card, nothing written on the back.More fine gentlemen. LOL! This photo was taken in front of Mimi & Fritzie's home on Railroad Street, McKeesport. This street no longer exist.
